Zynga, a social web developer known for browser-based games and application widgets like Farmville on Facebook, has purchased browser developer Flock in its latest move to beef up its workforce.
Flock's social browser Flockr was launched a few years ago as the first social browser for the Internet, finally with 10 million users worldwide. It was built for Facebook and Twitter making it easy for staying connected with friends while surfing the web. The browser itself is based on the open source Mozilla Firefox code, and it has been, at times, criticized as basically being Firefox with certain social plugins pre-installed. It also includes a feed reader and a blog post editor.

Happy New Year
I believe Flock in their latest version (which I have not tried) has switched from being based on Firefox to being based on Chrome.
Take care
