BBC News appoints 'visual journalism' editor as TV and online graphics units merge

Journalism.co.uk :: Amanda Farnsworth has been appointed as the first editor of a new "visual journalism unit" for BBC News. Farnsworth, who is currently project executive for BBC London 2012, will lead the newly created "visual journalism unit", which will combine the existing TV and online graphics departments into one multiplatform team.
