Knight Foundation analysis: What makes a media innovation project successfull?

Knight Foundation :: The Knight Foundation has released a review of the 2009 News Challenge winners. The report ist part of an ongoing project to understand "what makes media innovation projects work." The report can be downloaded from KnightFoundation.org (see link below).

Predictably, not all of these funded innovations have succeeded in gaining traction. After all, the News Challenge is intentionally designed to encourage experimentation with new ideas for gathering, sharing and using news and information.
