In 2015: 66pc of mobile traffic will be video: Indosat, Indonesia introduces Super WiFi

Indonesia gets ready for the huge mobile data traffic growth. Cisco predicted 5 billion mobile devices, a global mobile traffic growth of 6.6 million TB/month (26x) and video traffic of 66% until 2015. One way to serve the exploding bandwidth demand is to provide more WiFi hotspots.

Tech in Asia :: Indosat recently introduced a new service called Super WiFi. With this service, any of its mobile customers can connect to Indosat owned hotspots without having to manually login to those hotspots. This mechanism is enabled by Indosat’s new sim card technology, EAP (Extensible Authentication Protocol).
