Inside GigaOm’s VC-driven demise

Digiday :: It’s hard not to sympathize with the now-deceased GigaOm, which tried to eschew digital advertising in favor of paid content. But the difficulty of selling research and the loss of its CEO exposed the challenges inherent in growing a media company, even one not reliant on digital advertising.
